42nd Oregon Offshore Completed:
Portland, OR (May 13, 2018) – The 42nd annual Oregon Offshore International Yacht Race was held this past weekend. The race started on May 10, 2018. The starting line is off the mouth of the Columbia River, yachts preceded north to the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and finished at Victoria, British Columbia, inside the harbor entrance. The course distance is 193 miles. The first to finish was David Raney’s Wiley 70, Rage, who completed the course in 32h 13m 25s. Full Report.

Point Loma HS Wins Fleet Racing Nationals:
Seabrook, TX (May 13, 2018) – The team from Point Loma High School (San Diego, CA) won the 2018 ISSA (Interscholastic Sailing Association) Mallory Trophy Championship for the High School Double-handed Fleet Race National Championship Regatta.
Twenty high school teams competed in Flying Junior boats at the 2018 ISSA Fleet Racing National Championship. Teams qualified out of the seven district regions throughout the USA, with the competition held May 12-13 on Clear Lake.
