A Test of Survival at Rio Games:
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (August 11, 2016) – The word of the day for those that went out to sea on day four was ‘survival. The Olympic sailing competition again produced the extremes of flat water and shifty conditions on the inshore courses with the giant wind and size-of-a-house waves out on the seaward courses. This regatta is testing every extreme of a sailor’s ability, which some argue is exactly what the Olympic competition should be.

Chubb U.S. Junior Sailing Champs in San Diego:
San Diego, CA (August 11, 2016) – The Greater San Diego area has been a hub for US Sailing Junior Championships this summer. On the heels of this week’s U.S. Youth Sailing Championships in Coronado, the Mission Bay Yacht Club will host US Sailing’s oldest championship this Friday through Monday. The 2016 Chubb U.S. Junior Sailing Championships will feature three days of racing for the historic Sears Cup, Bemis Trophy and Smythe Trophy. Full Report.
