Starting in September 2007, boats in the Open 60 class will be competing each year in the Artemis Ocean Challenge. The inaugural event will take place in Edinburgh, consisting of three days of racing taking place in the Forth. Different races on each of the three days will challenge the boats to prove their ability on a number of different levels. It will be three days of the most exciting, testing sailing seen near Britain’s shores. Each year the types of races will change but the challenge will always be considerable. No doubt, the Artemis Ocean Challenge will become a major part of the annual summer racing calendar.
