The objective of the club is to encourage aquatic sports in all its activities with a strong accent on conservation. Milnerton Aquatic Club, known as MAC founded in 1976, is situated on the banks of the Rietvlei Nature Reserve with Table Mountain as his backdrop. The Rietvlei Reserve is a haven for bird life and has a walking trail for people to enjoy the tranquility of the outdoors. Because of its location, ideal wind and water conditions, MAC has become a very popular destination for the overseas water sports enthusiasts who spend between 3 – 6 months of the year using our ideal waters.

Royal Cape Yacht Club, Cape Town, South Africa. The Club was founded as the Table Bay Yacht Club in 1905 and commenced operation as such in a waterside boatshed located some 50 to 60 metres northward of the foot of Loop Street. Surviving early vicissitudes, the club’s name was changed in 1914 to the Cape Yacht Club which incorporated the Alfred Rowing Club and shortly after we received the Royal Charter to become the Royal Cape Yacht Club.
Smart Yachting is a non profit, privately sponsored company, whose goal is to promote competitive ocean going catamaran sailing, especially amongst the youth of South Africa.

The race starts from Hout Bay, Cape Town, The route will take the yachts out of the picturesque bay, past the towering Sentinel into the open ocean and on to the tropical island of St. Helena some 1700 nautical miles away. The route follows the South East trade winds that blow endlessly over the South Atlantic taking the yachts approximately eight to fourteen days to arrive at the island. St. Helena is renowned for it’s hospitality where the sailors will be able to relax and enjoy the tropical weather seeing the legendary sights while soaking up 500 years of history for a few days before returning to Cape Town aboard the R.M.S. St. Helena.
Yacht Charter Cape provides sailing trips around the Cape of Good Hope. Sailing can also be exchanged for day trips to explore the inland of the Peninsula.
