Americans to Compete in Australian Youth Match Racing Champs:
Twelve teams from four countries will compete in the Musto International Youth Match Racing Championship, held November 22 to 25 in Sydney Harbour, Australia. The winner of this World Sailing Grade 2 youth match racing event, hosted by the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia, not only claims the ‘Joy Ride’ perpetual trophy but also an invitation to Long Beach Yacht Club’s 2017 Ficker Cup Grade 2 event, which is then a qualifier for the Grade 1 Congressional Cup. USA Reveals 2017 Youth Team Selection Criteria:
Portsmouth, RI (November 7, 2016) – US Sailing has released selection procedures for American athletes hoping to compete in the 2017 Youth World Sailing Championship, to be held in Akko, Israel on July 8-15. US Sailing and the Olympic Development Program (ODP) annually support the U.S. Youth Worlds Team (YWT) with YWT-specific camps, coaching and logistical support.
