Since 1993, the Screwpile Lighthouse Challenge promotes itself as providing the best racing and party on the Chesapeake Bay. USA Contingent at I-420 World Championship:
As the world’s top doublehanded youth training boat, 262 teams will compete in the International 420 World Championship on July 18-23 in San Remo, Italy. The Open division has 109 entrants from 22 nations (USA – 7), the Ladies division has 85 entrants from 21 nations (USA – 7; MEX – 1), and the U17 division has 68 entrants from 19 nations (USA – 5). Looking to parlay recent success are Americans Wiley Rogers/ Jack Parkin and Shawn Harvey/James Westerberg who finished first and fourth in the 162-boat Kiel Week (June 23-26) in Kiel, Germany.
