Buchan leads Star Western Hemispheres:
San Diego, CA (May 24, 2019) – The wind gods finally delivered for the International Star Class 2019 Western Hemisphere Championship to provide for three races for the Silver Star title.
After one day of too much, one day of too little, conditions improved for day three of the regatta with classic local conditions of 6-10 knots from the west with clear, sunny skies.
But regardless of the conditions, Carl and his son Jamie Buchan have stayed the course, posting all top five scores to hold the lead by one point over Eric Doyle and Payson Infelise.

Brown wins College Women’s Nationals:
Newport, RI (May 24, 2019) – The final day of the Sperry College Sailing Women’s National Championship was proving day for Brown University as they climbed past Harvard to win the national title and Gerald C. Miller Trophy.
As the winds held a steady 18 to 22 knots with higher gusts around 28 knots from a north-northwest direction, it was a gut-check as the high winds fought the current in the harbor to build a significant chop for the 6 races completed in each division. Today the sailors only raced in the Z420s to better manage the high winds sailing one set on and one set off.
