Clipper Race: Countdown to Seattle:
(April 10, 2016; Day 21) – The latest depression has the most westerly boats in its grip and is moving steadily east this morning in the closing week of Race 9 of the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race. The Race Office estimates that leader Derry~Londonderry~Doire is four days from the Emerald City, with 850 nautical miles to the finish line, having opened up its lead over LMAX Exchange to more than 135 nm. Unicef is around 11 nm further behind, and closing, and has also opened up its lead on ClipperTelemed+ to more than 30nm. Full Report.

Kiwis crumble at Congressional Cup:
Long Beach, CA (April 9, 2016) – Congressional Cup defending champion Taylor Canfield (ISV) dispatched Eric Monnin (SUI), and Nicolai Sehested (DEN) eliminated Bjorn Hansen (SWE) one-two-three, in the early matches of the Quarter Finals here today, in Stage Two of the World Match Racing Tour.
But it was a different story for Phil Robertson (NZL) and Chris Steele (NZL) – Kiwi compatriots who were placed number one and two, at the end of the Round Robins yesterday.
