Family-Friendly Cruise on the Delaware River
A Sailing event on 2016-06-12 13:00:00
Join us on June 12 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. for a family-friendly cruise down the Delaware River aboard the Liberty, a reproduction of a classic 1920’s commuter yacht. Our cruise departs from the Independence Seaport Museum dock and along the way you’ll hear fascinating on-board commentary by Captain Walt Bohn and see the waterfront and skyline of Philadelphia and Camden from amazing vantage points. The Liberty’s intimate size is ideal for operating under the Benjamin Franklin Bridge and for getting up close to historic landmarks like the Battleship New Jersey and the SS United States, the largest ocean liner constructed in the United States. Seating is very limited, tickets will sell out. Tickets: Members (18+older); (Youth, 4-17); $ 25 Non-Member Guests (18+older); (Youth 4-17). Departs from Independence Seaport Museum’s Boat Basin. All passengers are welcome to bring food and non-alcoholic beverages on board for your enjoyment during the sail. For further information, call the Membership Department at 215-413-8626 during weekday business hours.
