Fierce competition at Oakcliff International:
Oyster Bay, NY (September 2, 2019) – International teams are match racing at 2019 Oakcliff International Regatta, September 2-4, in the SM40 class yachts. This is the third event in the 2019 US Match Racing Grand Slam Series. The Grand Slam is a series of four Grade 2 match racing events in the USA in which the overall winner receives an invitation to 2020 Congressional Cup. The teams are from four countries, and include last year’s winner, Nick Egnot-Johnson, and runner up, Dave Perry. With breeze gusting 12-14 knots, and rain lines sweeping through, the competition was fierce.

Clipper Race: Off and running:
(September 2, 2019) – The twelfth edition of the 40,000 nautical mile global sailing challenge, the 2019-20 Clipper Round the World Yacht Race, started in London, sailing to Portimão. The first of 15 races is short, with the fleet expected to arrive within 6-8 days, it will test the sailors taking part in Leg 1. After a parade of sail along the River Thames, passing Tower Bridge and the Cutty Sark, the first challenge will be negotiating running tides around UK and Northern France.
