First stage of Bermuda One-Two Race:
Twenty-eight singlehanded boats began the opening stage of the 2019 Bermuda One-Two Race, starting June 8 on the 635nm course from to Bermuda from Newport, RI. After eight boats dropped out, Michael Hennessey’s Class40 Dragon took elapsed time honors and won Class 5 against four other Class40s. The start of the final stage doublehanded leg on June 20 will return the fleet to Newport, RI. Details….

Argentines take lead at Lightning Worlds:
Espoo, Finland (June 15, 2019) – There was big breeze touching 20 knots for the second day of the 2019 Lightning World Championship which saw defending World Champion Javier Conte (ARG) take a step up to now lead the 49 boat fleet. Posting a 3-1, Conte is one point ahead of David Starck (USA) after four races with Chilean Felipe Robles in third.
Racing is planned from June 14 to 17.
