(December 7, 2017; Day 34, 22:00 FR) – François Gabart has arrived at an anticipated zone of high pressure off the coast of Brazil in his attempt to beat the singlehanded round the world record. While the lighter winds have slowed the skipper of the 30m MACIF trimaran, he has still covered 566.5 nm in the past 24 hours and increased his margin to 1724.91 nm ahead of the record pace. Details.
