Honoring the Sailing Editor:
The Crab Cup is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the Chesapeake Region Accessible Boating (CRAB), an organization started in 1991 to provide the virtues of sailing to those with disabilities, recovering warriors and youth from at-risk communities.
As one of the righteous entities in the sport, they have chosen to honor at their 2018 Crap Cup on August 18 one of the righteous journalist in the sport.
In recognition of the many decades of writing excellence in the sailing community of Annapolis, their 2018 event honoree is Bill Wagner, Sports Staff Writer and Sailing Editor of The Capital Gazette, a daily newspaper published in Annapolis since 1884.

There are four stages to an Olympic campaign. The first stage is learning the basics of the boat, the second stage is occasionally scaring the top seeds, the third stage is to consistently perform at the front of the fleet, and the fourth stage is being a favorite to win.
While simple in concept, the path is not always forward, and the best measure of progress is always when the chips are all in.
