There is an emotionally based belief that college achievement is necessary. After all everyone knows that if you want to live a happy and successful life you better go to college. Well that must sound a bit fishy, after all there are only a percentage of students who once enrolled in college who have received a degree and only a percentage of them have made a lot of money and most of them got married and half of them got divorced. You might think I’m suggesting college isn’t all that it is made out to be. Not true. But the real opportunity in it should not be missed.
The college years and full range of life learning preparation can be invaluable, and it only comes around once. And because of that it would be thoughtful to take the time to plan wisely. To plan wisely means knowing that the top priority is that your experience of these years be fundamentally happy and joyful. If you can sustain that feeling of your college experience, you will have placed yourself on the right path.
It goes back to that basic premise as revealed in this question: Are you happy because of all the wonderful things happening around you or, because you have sustained a state of happiness, wonderful things are happening all around you? Which is it? The day you fully get that energy precedes all things, all thoughts, and all the situations and circumstances of your life, you will have entered a true transformation of what is possible in your life.
The reason so many have no clue as to what they should pursuit in school is primarily because in the first 12 years of their life, the compulsitory institutions they attended never focused on the purpose of life. For twelve years, whether they had a good time with their friends in school or not, they were forced to attend and engage in the activities and subject matter against their basic instinct. However, even that provides for an opportunity. Where ever you are is perfect.
What turns you on at 30 or 40 may be different than in your twenties, don’t set it up that you must exclude it. You can have it all. Since the purpose of life is to pursuit happiness, it is a continuing unfolding process, there is no one thing to pursuit and one should never bind himself into one niche. When its time, move on to your other dreams and creations.
By first understanding the purpose of life and a few basic principles of the law of attraction you will discover that life is about being happy despite whatever you’ve heard. All that nonsense about working hard and sacrificing for another day will give you a hard and sacrificed life.
We are indeed following the path of least resistance no different than the rose unfolding in its fragrant beauty or the butterfly floating in with the wind. The only resistance resides in the emotions you choose to sustain in your life. The least resistance is experienced in the states of happiness and joy and even bliss. The greatest resistance vibrates at the other end of the spectrum of emotion, despair, hopelessness, powerlessness etc. Nature is alive in freedom, beauty, joy and abundance.
So where ever you are about attending college is fine. Just notice if your aim is in being happy. Any reason works. You can dabble in everything if you like. If you are happy doing it, what will unfold, like a beautiful flower will be the natural situations and circumstances necessary to present you with the things that make you heart light up.
A long standing myth is that you need to get a college degree so you can get a job. Not true! You should settle into a job or career only as long as it serves your experience of happiness. You bring the happiness to it. Use your happiness to guide you along. Everything you do in happiness and joy opens the view port of possibility. In your first years of college, make sure you are grounded in feeling good; the rest will open to you.
The best reading you can avail yourself to is the law of attraction material easily found on the internet as is all of my own writings on the application of the law. Remember, joy is the purpose of life and by pursuing it, the appearance of your reality will begin to reflect that field of energy.
