Kevin Hall: An Extraordinary Life:

Kevin Hall grew up sailing about 90 minutes north of me in Southern California, and about eight years after me. He quickly made a name for himself, winning the 1986 Youth Worlds and the 1987 US Youth Champs. As a Hall of Fame inductee at Brown University, he represented the US at the 2004 Olympics and was part of three America’s Cup campaigns.
Kevin remains one of the remarkable sailors of his era, but facts and figures are easy to know. Health and despair are not.

Interest Grows for Inaugural California Offshore Race Week:
New for this year, the 2016 California Offshore Race Week will feature the combined efforts of Encinal Yacht Club, San Francisco Yacht Club, Monterey Peninsula Yacht Club, Santa Barbara Yacht Club and San Diego Yacht Club to produce a week-long schedule of races in a tour from Northern California to Southern California. The fee for entering the race increases by $ 50 on Tuesday, April 5. Full report.
