Light Breeze at J/111 NA Champs:
Holland, MI (September 19, 2018) – Light winds greeted the 16 teams for the beginning of the J/111 North American Championship. Jim Connelly’s Slush Fund figured out the conditions in the pair of races, posting a 2,1 on the day for the lead at 3 points. In second place is Jeffrey Davis’ Shamrock, who recorded a solid 3,2 for 5 points. Peter Wagner’s Skeleton Key started the day with a bullet but added a sixth for 7 points and third place. Advancing at Para World Sailing Champs:
Sheboygan, WI (September 19, 2018) – British and Canadian teams booked their spot in Saturday’s RS Venture Connect winner-takes-all final as the Para World Sailing Championships continued. The qualification stage in the RS Venture Connect saw Alexandra Rickham and Hannah Stodel (GBR) and John McRoberts and Scott Lutes (CAN) finish top of their groups. Meanwhile, the 2.4 Norlin OD, Men’s Hansa 303 and Women’s Hansa 303 competition continued in a 6-11 knot north easterly on Lake Michigan. Full Report.
