Mixed conditions at Finn Europeans:
Athens, Greece (May 15, 2019) – After another long day on the water, two more races were completed at the Finn Europeans which saw Ioannis Mitakis (GRE) dominate the first race to take the home win, while Jonathan Lobert (FRA) took the second, also leading all the way.
Olympic champion Giles Scott (GBR) still leads overall despite a 3-23, holding a 4 point edge over Andy Maloney (NZL) with Alican Kaynar (TUR) 15 points off the lead in third. Spaniard Joan Cardona continues to lead the U23 European Championship.

When the International Lightning Class Association recognized the normal flow of young people into the class had been slowed due to the growth of youth sailing in age-based boats, the organization launched an initiative to help reestablish this connection.
