Moving day at Laser Worlds:
Split, Croatia (September 18, 2017) – The 2017 Laser Standard Men’s World Championship had three races today, which triggered the second discard with 10 races now completed. Pavlos Kontides (CYP) moved into first today, taking control of the championship with a 2-1-5. Kontides has a 15 point lead over Rio 2016 gold medalist Tom Burton (AUS) with another Aussie, Matthew Wearn, a point further back in third. The top North American is Christopher Barnard (USA) who jumped up to 13th today with 3-14-16. Racing concludes tomorrow. Details.

Guardians of History Meet for Championship:
The event, along with the METREFEST Newport, Newport Trophy and Edgartown Race held earlier this summer, counts toward points collected in the ROAD TO THE WORLDS Waypoint Series that leads to the next 12 Metre Worlds, scheduled for Newport in 2019.
