Auckland, New Zealand will host the 2020 Youth Match Racing World Championship; the Notice of Race is now available. Sailors will race Feb 26 – March 1, 2020. Up to 16 skippers will be invited. Member National Authorities (MNAs) may apply for an invitation for a skipper of their nationality by sending the Request for Invitation Form no later than November 1, 2019. Each sailor racing will be under 23 on December 31, 2020. The 2020 Youth Match Racing Worlds will be sailed in Elliott 7’s by a crew of four or five with weight not exceeding 350kg. Details.

Platoon Repeats at TP52 World Champs:
Mallorca, Spain (August 29, 2019) – Harm Müller-Spreer’s Platoon team won the 2019 Rolex TP52 World Championship title today, but the German-flagged team, led by the Hamburg-based owner-driver did not make it easy for themselves as they had to contend with two additional penalty points that they were given for twice making contact with rival boats as well as two penalties for different infringements during a tense, nervy showdown with Azzurra. Vladimir Liubomirov’s Bronenosec took third, their first podium finish at the Rolex TP52 World Championship, after competing in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2019.
