Optimist Regattas

All the chalets, and log cabins, as well as all the camping in front of the log cabins at Midmar, have been reserved for the period 12th December 2009 until 20th December 2009. This accommodation will be reserved for the Youth Nationals until the 31st July 2009 only, after which date any accommodation not taken up will be put back into the pool for the general public to take.

The following has been reserved:

• 16 x 4 bed rustic cabins – cost for 12/12/2009 to 20/12/2009: R5760. Deposit: R2880. These rustic cabins are up behind the Yacht Club. This charge is based on 4 adults using the accommodation.
• 14 x 2 bed chalets – cost for 12/12/2009 to 20/12/2009: R4224. Deposit: R2112. This charge is based on 2 adults using the accommodation.
• 12 x 4 bed chalets – cost for 12/12/2009 to 20/12/2009: R8448. Deposit: R4224. This charge is based on 4 adults using the accommodation.
• 3 x 5 bed chalets – cost for 12/12/2009 to 20/12/2009: R10560. Deposit: R5280. This charge is based on 5 adults using the accommodation.
• 2 x 6 bed chalets – cost for 12/12/2009 to 20/12/2009: R12672. Deposit: R6336 These chalets are in Munro Bay, just along the road from the Yacht Club. This charge is based on 6 adults using the accommodation.

Children under 12 are charged at half price. Extra beds can be put into the accommodation if needed, obviously there will be an extra charge for this.

The deposit MUST be paid by 31st July, in order to secure the accommodation.

The chalets and rustic cabins are cleaned daily, and have bedding provided. They also have stoves and fridges. The chalets have bathrooms, while the rustic cabins do not, but there is a communal ablution block close by. The chalets also have a TV.

KZNNCS increase their rates on the 1st November each year, and the prices quoted are inclusive of this increase.

When the accommodation is reserved either by phone, e-Mail or fax to e-Mail, you MUST quote reference 1057964/248132. The arrival/departure dates can be changed – the regatta itself is from the 13th December to the 19th December.

The key for the booked accommodation can be collected at any time of the day or night from the entrance to Midmar (the boom gate hut). When the key is fetched, you will have to pay a R200 key deposit. This deposit is refundable (less the cost of missing items and breakages) during office hours from the Midmar office.
