Podium full at U.S. Junior Sailing Championships:
The 2017 Chubb U.S. Junior Sailing Championships featured three days of racing for the historic Sears Cup, Bemis Trophy, and Smythe Trophy on August 8-11 in Toms River, NJ. Nearly 100 young sailors representing their home yacht club or local sailing organization competed on Barnegat Bay in single-, double-, and triplehanded divisions. Conditions saw light to moderate breeze throughout the regatta.
Team Nika extends at RC44 Worlds:
Marstrand, Sweden (August 11, 2017) – Day two of the RC44 Marstrand World Championship was far too fickle and tricky for any single team to dominate, but the best performers in the three races were both Russian crews.
Bronenosec Sailing Team won the first heat of the afternoon after starting at the committee boat end of the line and gunning hard for the right-hand side of the windward leg in 8 to 10 knots of shifting breeze.
