The submission has been lodged for all those who dedicated their time to support Sailabilty Crystal Bay for Volunteer of the Year. Below is a little extract from the submission form.
Soon after Sailiabilty started in NSW, Pittwater also started a Sailabilty Branch. Sailing with people with disabilities, encouraged by the enthusiasm of Kay Cottee, Lynne Phillips and Doctor Phil Hardy. Thus grew an army of Volunteers, sometimes referred to as ‘Dad’s Army”- a misnomer, as there was a good mix of men and women keen to see the programme succeed. From this beginning hundreds have benefited from their efforts.
