Sailing World’s College Rankings, based on 2016 fall season results through October 12, finds Fowle Trophy winner Yale at the top of the Coed poll followed by Boston College, Georgetown, Coast Guard, and Charleston. Yale also leads the Women’s poll, narrowly edging Women’s National champions Coast Guard followed by Brown, Boston College, and Rhode Island. Sixteen coaches participated in this poll. Full report.

Hurricane Nicole to bash Bermuda:
Bermuda is bracing for impacts from Hurricane Nicole, which will lash the islands with high winds and flooding rain on Wednesday night into Thursday. Nicole, currently a Category 2 hurricane (96 to 110 mph winds) will continue on a north-northeast track toward Bermuda into Thursday. It is possible that Nicole becomes a Category 3 hurricane (111 to 129 mph winds) prior to passing Bermuda. Details.
