Spain wins inaugural Nations Trophy:
The inaugural Nations Trophy was launched by its founder, Nautor’s Swan, with the fundamental commitment to revitalize the concept of competition between nations. Contested by three classes of Swan One Design yachts, the best two results of each of the eleven competing countries counted towards the national prize.
Racing was held on October 11 to 14, with the Swan 45s also competing for their World Championship and the ClubSwan 50s and 42s for their European Championships, all in the waters off of Palma de Mallorca.

Tough sledding at US Match Race Championship:
Oyster Bay, NY (October 14, 2017) – The US Match Race Championship continued on its second day of competition as lighter winds made for tough sledding to finish the single round robin qualifying stage that would advance the top eight teams into the quarterfinal knock out ladder.
Jeffrey Petersen and Reed Baldridge failed to make the cut, while Peter Holz’s undefeated streak in the round robin ended in his 9th and final race, losing to Nevin Snow.
