Spotlight on San Francisco for Big Boat Series:
San Francisco, CA (September 13, 2016) – Since it began in 1964, the Big Boat Series has been widely recognized as the premier West Coast regatta. Never content to rest on its laurels, it’s no surprise that—in its 52nd edition—this will be the largest Big Boat Series ever, with a record-setting 127 entries to compete on September 15-18.
This year’s fleet will showcase the variety of boats that grand-prix racing offers these days. Fresh Conditions at A Class North Americans:
Newport, RI (September 13, 2016) – After winds struggled to develop yesterday as the 2016 Zhik A Class North American Championship got underway, today saw winds in the high teens with relentless waves that took their toll on the 45-boat fleet. Reigning North American Champion Matt Struble (San Diego) leads the Foiling Division and Overall with four straight bullets over four races while Ken Marshack (Ridgefield, WA) leads the Classic (non-foiling) Division with three bullets and a deuce.
