Olympic glory is the ultimate honor in most sports. Sailing is no different. With athletes waiting four years for an opportunity to win a coveted gold medal, competition is tough and the stakes are high.
Two years out from Tokyo 2020, CNN’s Mainsail visited the Sailing World Championships in Aarhus, Denmark to discover if there was a secret recipe to Olympic success.

Sea State Hinders GC32 Racing Tour:
Toulon, France (October 11, 2018) – Winds had abated after yesterday’s storm off the Cote d’Azur, but sadly the sea state on the Rade de Toulon was considered too large for the nimble flying catamarans to race safely on day one of the GC32 TPM Med Cup, the last stop of the 2018 GC32 Racing Tour. By mid-afternoon the torrential rain had stopped and dark rain clouds were slowly being replaced by blue sky and occasional sun but there was no opportunity for racing. Racing at the GC32 TPM Med Cup is scheduled for October 11-14. Full Report.
