I run a Gunboat 60, and while docked in Annapolis this week, the Pride of Baltimore 2 came in and tied up next to us. We got a kick out of similarly ridiculous bowsprits/lengeron as well as similar mast rake angle – but that’s about where the comparisons ended.

A number of years ago British yacht designer Hugh Welbourn came up with the concept of Dynamic Stability Systems or DSS.
