Zeke Horowitz Wins J/22 Worlds:
Annapolis, MD (September 13, 2018) – Zeke Horowitz’s Uncle Fluffy accomplished what none of the other 63 teams at the 2018 J/22 World Championship could—avoiding a high-number finish in the nine-race series hosted by Annapolis Yacht Club.
Now Zeke and crew Jackson Benvenutti, Jo Ann Fisher and Emmy Stuart are J/22 World Champions. Horowitz came into the final day of racing a nine-point underdog to Allan Terhune’s Thunder Chicken, however Terhune faced a U-flag penalty in the day’s first race, paving the way for someone to make a move.

Big Winds at Big Boat Series:
San Francisco, CA (September 13, 2018) – The forecast was for 18-22 knots out of the west/southwest as 76 teams prepped and headed out for the first day of the 2018 ROLEX Big Boat Series. For Race one, on the Alcatraz Circle, the fleets racing were ORR A, J/88s, and the Pac 52s on courses headed under the Golden Gate ranging from 7 to 14 miles. On the Treasure Island Course the ORR B, ORR C, J/105s, and Express 37s fleets raced a range of courses with all but the J/105s finishing upwind. For Race 2, the fleets would swap starting circles.
